YouTube will still not play in Full Screen. So, I did it again and this time I restarted the computer. Has this problem been affecting users of Safari for that long?! I deselected all of the choices on the Reset Safari window, except for the “Remove all website data” option and “clicked” Reset. So, I tried to Reset Safari, using the advice from the MacRumours Forum that said to only reset the Website Data: the advice came from a post dated 23rd November 2009.

Safari 5.1.10 youtube full screen not supported trial#
I could not find any link to disable the HTML5 trial on the main page of YouTube, or any YouTube video page, as one post suggested. Well, having tried emptying the Cache, which did not work, I then tried the suggestions that I saw on other Apple related web-sites about getting YouTube to play “fullscreen” on Safari.

No part of the page is addressed to Safari specifically. Why would I do that?Īll of the other suggestions and solutions on the link-page,from the YouTube video, were of no help, or simply irrelevant to Safari is Version 5.1.10 (6534.59.10). This is insane! I have not disabled anything! I cannot find any part of Safari Version 5.1.10 (6534.59.10) that would do that. Please check your browser's settings and permissions to make sure fullscreen is available on pages where you might use YouTube.” “If the fullscreen button appears, but isn't responsive, you may have disabled fullscreen permissions for YouTube. Since when? I clicked on the link and saw the following on the page that opened: Every time I clicked on the box in the lower right-hand corner of a YouTube video, a link would appear and I would see the message that my browser does no support fullscreen. About three weeks ago I realised that I was unable to get YouTube videos to play in fullscreen. Seasons greetings to the Apple Community! I hope that you are all having a wonderful Christmas.
